356,700 tickets have been allocated (subject to payment) for fans around the world via www.FIFA.com/tickets in the first 24 hours of the first-come, first-served sales window, which started on March 13 at 12:00 Moscow time.
The majority of tickets were allocated to Russian fans (197,036), followed by fans from the USA (14,845), Argentina (14,564), Colombia (13,994), Mexico (13,505), Brazil (9,691), Peru (9,493), Australia (5,500), Germany (5,476), China (5,459), and India (4,166) – the top ten foreign countries.
Despite the enormous demand and potential wait time to access the site, FIFA encourages all fans to visit www.FIFA.com/tickets and check the traffic light system, which indicates ticket availability.
Given the remarkable interest from around the world, FIFA would like to remind all football fans that www.FIFA.com/tickets is the only official and legitimate website to purchase tickets for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Tickets obtained from any other source will be automatically canceled as soon as identified and will not grant the bearer access to the stadium or any refund or other compensation.
