Brazilian society has been officially called upon to help the country meet the goals set in the Paris Agreement on climate change. The Minister of the Environment, Sarney Filho, officially announced the opening of the so-called “structural dialogues” with the stakeholders involved in the challenge of curbing the rise in global average temperatures. The goal is to have a plan by October.
The contribution targets of Brazil are considered one of the most significant in the world, precisely because they involve the entire economy of the country. “With our national efforts, we will show that the Paris Agreement is feasible and that the process of combating climate change is irreversible,” said Minister Sarney Filho.
