The Focus Brasil event will debut its Central Florida version on October 20, 21, and 22. The event has 11 years of success in South Florida and five years of being held in Tokyo (Japan) and London (United Kingdom).

The Focus Brasil is a platform for Brazilian-themed events involving business, culture, education, immigration issues, citizenship, arts, and media. The event has become an annual meeting point for Brazilian leaders from various regions of the United States and attracts participants from other countries as well.

The inaugural event in Orlando will cover topics directly related to the interests of Brazilians in the Central Florida region. Here are the highlights of the program:

• The campaign for the establishment of the Brazilian Consulate in the region will be one of the central points of the “Panel of the Council of Brazilian Citizens of Florida.” This will be the opening panel of the event on October 20, starting at 2:30 pm and will feature the presence of various Brazilian, American, and Hispanic authorities.

• A formal dinner and awards night will be the highlight on Thursday, October 20, starting at 7 pm. This is when the celebration “30 Years of Brazilians in Central Florida” will take place. During this event, which will feature special attractions, 30 personalities, institutions, and initiatives that have exponentially marked the 30 years of Brazilian presence in Central Florida, from 1986 to 2016, will be honored.

• A dual journey dedicated to business interests of Brazilians will be coordinated by the CFBACC (Central Florida Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce). Lectures and presentations will fill the morning and afternoon of Friday, October 21, from 9 am to 5 pm.

• Brazilian women will have their specific panel, replicating the success of the same event presented in Fort Lauderdale, bringing the renowned “Life Coach” Eliana Barbosa from Brazil on October 21, starting at 7 pm.

• On Saturday, October 22, Focus Brasil will start at 9 am with the Portuguese Language Panel, bringing together various initiatives related to the teaching and promotion of our language in Central Florida. This segment is coordinated by Sandra Freier.
