Brilliant Performance of Netflix in Brazil – The Brasilians

Brilliant Performance of Netflix in Brazil

For those who don’t know, Brazil has one of the best and most complete movie catalogs of Netflix in the world!

When Netflix entered Brazil, many complained about the catalog, which was slim and had nothing. Many Brazilians still complain because they can’t find that last season of their favorite series or that movie that just left theaters. But what some Brazilian subscribers don’t know is that in Brazil, Netflix offers the largest range of good movies compared to other countries.

According to an analysis by The Streaming Observer, Brazil and Canada have the best movie inventories. But when we talk about ‘good movies,’ our beloved country has 85 of the 250 highest-rated films on IMDB. That’s a lot!

Critically acclaimed films like ‘The Godfather II,’ ‘Fight Club,’ and ‘Star Wars: Episode IV,’ which can be seen on the streaming platform, are far from many other nations, including the USA. The homeland of Netflix has only 33 of the 250 highest-rated films.

Obviously, the IMDB ranking is not the only thing that determines whether a movie is good or not. And of course, there are incredible movies that premiered this year and won’t make it onto this list anytime soon – neither on IMDB nor on Netflix’s movie list. But the point of this post is to give perspective: the Brazilian library of the service may not be excellent, but it’s not that bad either.
