The database of the Ministry of Tourism has reached the best result in history with 75 thousand registered in the National Register of Tourist Service Providers (Cadastur). Compared to last year, there was a growth of 23%, when this number was 61.2 thousand.
Among the registered providers are tour guides, theme parks, accommodation facilities, travel agencies, and eleven other categories. “This significant growth is the result of the work being developed by the technical area regarding the modernization of Cadastur and also the oversight that has been carried out by our team since September 2017. The result is an increasingly formalized activity, which benefits the economy and brings more security to the tourist,” stated the Minister of Tourism, Vinicius Lummertz.
According to the Tourism Law, the following are required to register in the database through the platform provided by the ministry: accommodation facilities, travel agencies, tour guides, tourist transport companies, tourist camps, event organizers, and theme parks.
