The result of the auction for the contracting of energy transmission projects, held in December of last year, was approved by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel).
The auction closed with an average discount of 46% on the annual revenue that the transmission company will be entitled to for providing the public transmission service. This reduction in the revenue value for entrepreneurs
for the exploration of investments will contribute to a lower energy tariff for users.
The expectation is that the projects will generate R$ 13.17 billion in investments. Projects were offered for the construction, operation, and maintenance of 7,152 kilometers of transmission lines and substations with a transformation capacity of 14,819 mega-volt-amperes (MVA).
Thirteen states will benefit: Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, and Tocantins.
