Brazil Confirms Best Performance at the 2019 Pan American Games

In the 2019 edition of the Pan American Games, held in Lima, Peru, the Brazilian team confirmed the country’s best performance in Pan American Games history. Team Brazil won 171 medals, securing the country in 2nd place in the overall medal count, with 55 gold, 45 silver, and 71 bronze.Guilherme Costa’s gold medal in the 1,500m swimming event marked the country’s achievement of 53 golds in Lima, surpassing its previous best performance in Pan American Games history, which occurred in Rio 2007 with 52 golds.
