Brazilian Stars’ Spa Invests in Its First International Franchise in NY

The spa of Brazilian stars, Spa Tantien, a partner of Caras Magazine for five years, will open its first international franchise in New York, scheduled for the beginning of the second semester. For those curious living in the United States, there will be free workshops open to the public this March: on the 12th in New York, on the 16th in New Jersey, and on the 19th in Connecticut.

Those interested in participating can send an email to mirellak@spatantien.com or call +1 908-884-8162.

The brand emerged in 2009, led by entrepreneur and quantum therapist, Rosiane Venâncio, who serves Brazilian stars on the famous Island of Caras. In its first year of existence, it expanded to luxury hotels in the Northeast, such as Resort’s Salinas do Maragogi, Summerville Beach Resort, and Hotel Village Porto de Galinhas, as well as Hotel Atlante Plaza in Recife. Soon after, it migrated to Rio de Janeiro at Hotel Fasano, where it partnered with Lancôme, and at the Beauty Center in Hotel Santa Tereza.

Rosiane reports that even with the crisis in Brazil, in 2019, there was a 40% increase in revenue and services compared to the previous year. “We served over 33 thousand people in 2019. Expectations are to open three units of Spa Tantien in the USA within a maximum of two years,” she declares.

The founder states that the focus is on a light work operation with firm management, giving more to her collaborators. “To insert and bring the employee’s commitment along with the company. My success is their success. As a result, we have happy and more productive people.”

Among the treatments offered at the spa are natural therapies, holistic approaches, positive psychology, coaching, vibrational healing, and body healing through techniques that promote detoxification of physical, emotional, mental health, and spiritual-energetic rebalancing.

The first international franchisee, Mirella Kessler, a Brazilian who has lived in the USA for 20 years, shares that she was looking for a business that combined financial success with a career focused on caring for others.
<br“I was introduced to Rosiane through a friend who knows her work in Brazil, and she told me about her interest in having a franchise in the United States. Ready to invest in the Spa Tantien franchise idea, I went to do my 'homework' to learn more about Rosiane and her Spas. And to research all the legality of bringing the business to the United States,” she explains.

The initial investment was around $70,000, and Mirella expects to see a return in 14 months. “Rosiane is with me in a differentiated partnership, as she is interested in expanding the brand in the American market. I believe that here in the United States, the return could happen even faster due to the high demand for these services.”

The franchisee and the brand’s founder are also looking into American hotels and resorts. In addition to the opening already planned for August, Mirella is seeking more partners in hospitality, as Spa Tantien’s specialty is primarily managing spas in hotels and resorts.
<br“We are already contacting some interested hotels. The specialties of the hotels are many, but managing a business that cares for the body and emotions of guests and clients is more complex, which is why hotels and resorts with spas prefer to outsource, leaving this management to a company that lives and thinks about it all the time,” Mirella declares, adding that she is excited to inaugurate and expand in North America.
