Powerball Remains Accumulated. The Prize Can Now Reach $1.5 Billion

Your chance to become a billionaire continues for another round. No winning ticket was sold for Wednesday’s drawing for the $1.2 billion jackpot. The winning numbers were 2-11-22-35-60 and the Powerball was 23.

It is estimated that $1.5 billion is the new jackpot for the next drawing, which will take place on Saturday, November 5.

If a person matches the drawn numbers and chooses to receive the prize in a lump sum, the payment will be about $745.9 million, according to a statement from Powerball on Thursday morning. The winner can also opt to receive the prize in 30 payments over 29 years.

There have now been 39 consecutive Powerball drawings without a winner, raising the jackpot to one of the largest in U.S. history. The Powerball record is $1.586 billion shared by winners in California, Florida, and Tennessee in January 2016.
