On Thursday, November 17, Ludmilla won her first Latin Grammy with the album ‘Numanice 2’ in the category of “Best Samba/Pagode Album.” The singer was competing against traditional names in samba and pagode, such as Nego Álvaro, Martinho da Vila, and Péricles.
“I am very happy, I never imagined winning a Grammy, one of the biggest music awards in the world, and receiving this Grammy for a dream that came from my head. Many people didn’t believe in the beginning, I want to dedicate this award to God, my family, and all my fans. It’s ours, Brazil!” said the carioca, thrilled with the achievement.
Ludmilla joins the voting group of the Latin Grammy:
“So many things have happened in the last few days that I even forgot to tell you that I was invited to be part of the Latin Grammy Academy as a voting member. So happy, I never imagined,” she wrote in a post on her social media pages.
