Glória leaves behind two daughters, Laura and Maria,” said Globo in a statement.History in Journalism
Glória began her career at Globo as a radio listener in 1970 and was the first reporter to go live in color on Jornal Nacional. She also participated in the first HD broadcast of Brazilian TV in 2007.
A reference in Brazilian journalism, she traveled the world reporting for programs like Fantástico and Globo Repórter. She had 15 passports and visited over 100 countries.

She also interviewed celebrities such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Harrison Ford, Nicole Kidman, and Leonardo DiCaprio, in addition to covering the Falklands War (1982), the Atlanta Olympics (1996), and the World Cup in France (1998).Her Age Was a Secret
Glória never wanted to reveal her age. Once, in an interview program, she claimed to have been born in 1959. Data from her voter registration researched at the Superior Electoral Court confirms the birth date. However, if she had been born in that year, Glória would have started working at Globo at the age of 12. In other words, this inconsistency shows that the journalist was a little older.
According to the obituary released by Globo, Glória died at the age of 73.
