The Northeast of the U.S. Will Be Hit by the First Heat Wave of the Season Next Week – The Brasilians

Scorching temperatures will suffocate the Northeast of the United States next week, and Americans will undoubtedly sweat a lot during the first heat wave of the season in the region.

After a weekend with wonderful temperatures, thermometers will rise to what “could be classified as a heat wave” by mid-next week, with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees (F) – and possibly reaching the triple digits – from the Midwest to the Atlantic and Northeast.

During this period, millions of Americans will undoubtedly experience the hottest day of 2024 so far.

Some of the hottest temperatures are forecasted for Detroit, which could reach 97 (F), and in Pittsburgh, which could hit 100 degrees (F).

The city of New York will reach 80 (F) starting Monday after a cool weekend, but from Tuesday to Thursday, it will peak in the 90s.

The heat will feel even more oppressive due to humidity, which creates a heat index that feels even hotter.

Remember that summer in the Northern Hemisphere officially begins next Thursday, June 20.

After a rather rainy summer last year due to the effects of the El Niño climate phenomenon, this year’s summer is expected to be one of the hottest on record in the region.
