The current champion Argentina will face debutant Canada in the opening match at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The opening ceremony will start one hour before the first game, scheduled for this Thursday (June 20) at 8 PM ET.

The Copa América 2024 will see 16 major football teams from the Americas competing for the title in the 48th edition of the tournament. The teams have been divided into four groups.

The two best teams from each of the four groups will advance to the quarter-finals. The final of Copa América 2024 is scheduled for July 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Fourteen stadiums in the USA will host the Copa América matches. The USA also hosted the 2016 edition, which Chile won after defeating Argentina in penalties.

Uruguay, the most successful team in Copa América alongside Argentina, with 15 titles, is in Group C alongside hosts USA.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi’s Argentina is seeking its third major international title after winning the Copa América 2021 and the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The nine-time champion Brazil is in Group D and will try to overcome the painful defeat to archrival Argentina in the last Copa América final at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

Despite losing star Neymar due to injury, the Real Madrid duo of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo, along with young sensation Endrick, will try to impress.
