Starting April 10, 2024, passport holders from Australia, Canada, and the United States will need a visa to enter Brazil. If you already have a valid physical visa in your passport for the purpose of your visit, you do not need to apply for a new visa.
For those arriving in Brazil by air, sea, or land, the online visa application form is accessible at this link https://brazil.vfsevisa.com.
If your arrival is scheduled for April 9 or later, it is strongly recommended to apply for an eVisa in advance to avoid travel disruptions caused by delays or missed connections.
The visa requirement for citizens of these three countries was initially set to begin in January. The decision to postpone the visa requirement to April was made following a request from the Ministry of Tourism, which argued that the sector could be negatively affected during its peak season (summer in the southern hemisphere), as the electronic system for visa applications was still experiencing issues.
