There is a beach destination located about 85 km from the city of Natal that almost always appears on lists of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. We are talking about Praia de Pipa, which attracts tourists from all over the world.
To get there, visitors can take the Rota do Sol (Rota do Sol). Although it is not the shortest route, it is undoubtedly the most scenic. It takes about two and a half hours, and tourists can marvel at beautiful beaches and breathtaking views from local viewpoints along the way.
Upon arriving in Pipa, visitors will find all kinds of activities they can imagine, from buggy rides to bike tours. How about a kayaking adventure? Local activities also include ecological trails, tree climbing, zip-lining, and hang gliding. Tourists will be able to marvel at the stunning local beauty from many different angles.
And by the way, the local sunset is a spectacle in itself!
With great hotel infrastructure, Pipa offers accommodations in all types of inns, from modest to incredibly luxurious. Tourists should definitely try the local cuisine, and since there are many establishments serving delicious local dishes, they can choose any restaurant they want while strolling through the charming streets of the village center.
Praia de Pipa is located in the municipality of Tibau do Sul, but it is not a single beach as the name suggests. It is the gateway to a group of beautiful beaches scattered along the coast of Rio Grande do Norte. Here are some of them.
• Praia do Amor (Praia do Amor): This is a traditional surfing spot in Pipa due to the rougher sea. There are two ways to reach this amazing beach. At high tide, visitors can take the stairs carved into the local cliff, but at low tide, they can walk along the sand to the beach.
• Praia do Centro (Praia do Centro): Praia do Centro can be enjoyed regardless of the tide conditions. At low tide, beautiful natural pools form on the beach. At high tide, the strip of sand becomes narrower, but for adventure lovers, this is where boat tours to Baía dos Golfinhos depart.
• Baía dos Golfinhos (Baía dos Golfinhos): The beach has calm waters, making it a great place to swim and walk along the sand. Additionally, dolphins make regular visits and greet tourists with incredible acrobatics. Beach visitors can also take surfing lessons, go kayaking, and even rent frescobol rackets.
• Madeiro: With cliffs covered by untouched native vegetation, the landscape of Praia do Madeiro is a true work of art. It is the perfect place to practice water sports like stand-up paddle.
• Sibaúma: Located south of Pipa, Praia de Sibaúma is home to an interesting natural phenomenon that attracts many tourists. At low tide, a natural pool forms between the beach and the coral barrier. When the tide rises and the sea breaks the barrier, a temporary waterfall is created until the reef is completely covered by water. It’s a must-see!
Pipa may seem like just a dream, but it’s right there! It’s time to plan your visit, enjoy its idyllic spots, and have a unique experience.
