Songs for the World – The Brasilians

Songs for the World

Feinstein’s/54 Below, the Broadway Supper Club, presents “Songs for the World” on January 28, 2020, at 7 PM (Feinstein’s/54 Below, 254 West 54th St. NYC), the first in a series of concerts to be produced, promoted, and presented by teenagers, all with credits on Broadway and off-Broadway.

These young professionals will perform songs that range in style from Bossa Nova and Samba to powerful Broadway ballads and hits from the 80s. Joining them on stage will be special guest star, Brazilian composer and singer Jair de Oliveira, and drummer, percussionist, and composer Nanny Assis and band.

The script for “Songs for the World” is authored by 16-year-old Julia Lipsztein, who, like many young people of her generation, is passionate about social causes and caring for the environment. She chose the renowned charity, the Brazil Foundation, to benefit from this first event, as it promotes equality, social justice, and economic opportunities in the country of her roots.

This is yet another example of how this socially conscious demographic is helping to change the world and contribute to causes dear to their hearts.

“I believe in kindness and love. I believe in teaching the new generation about giving back, and showing that kindness doesn’t need a reason,” says Julia, who is already planning to hold many more concerts to benefit charitable causes around the world.
