Grape Festival – The Brasilians

Grape Festival

A festival held in Caxias do Sul to celebrate Italian culture, offering many traditions, concerts, and gastronomy.

The first Italian immigrants arrived in the Southern Region of Brazil in 1875 and brought with them their rich traditions, such as celebrating the harvest of grapes and other fruits. Later, in the 19th century, there were so many farmers celebrating on their own that they decided to create a unique festival. Thus began the traditional Agroindustrial Fair (Agribusiness Fair), which later, in 1931, came to be known as the Grape Festival of Caxias do Sul.

The Grape Festival takes you on a synesthetic journey through a Brazilian Italy. In the two pavilions of the Event Park, you can taste the abundant local cuisine, watch parades and memorable performances, visit exhibitions, cheer for beautiful women in the “queen of the festival” contest, and also savor wines, grapes, and derivatives.

The concerts, ranging from hip hop to gospel, featuring national singers and local artists, entertain about a thousand people who visit the festival at each edition.
