Brazil Summerfest Wants to Grow – The Brasilians

Brazil Summerfest Wants to Grow

The producers’ goal for Brazil Summerfest this summer is to create the largest edition of the festival to date. The plan is to showcase over 15 bands from Brazil, films, workshops, lectures, and a street fair with a Brazilian theme, creating a truly unique cultural and lifestyle experience in 360 & lifestyle. To achieve this, the producers have launched an online fundraising campaign to raise $10,000. They are offering many perks to help reach the goal, such as capoeira classes, music workshops, culinary experiences, vinyl records, t-shirts, and much more.History
Lançado em 2011, o Brasil Summerfest (BSF) cresceu para se tornar o maior festival internacional de música e artes brasileiras no mundo. It has featured some of the most exciting artists from Brazil, including Seu Jorge, Elza Soares, Marcelo D2, Criolo, Emicida, Lenine, and many others. It has shaped contemporary Brazilian culture in New York and developed BSF as a landmark event in the New York festival circuit.Goals
The producers aim to extend BSF to two weeks filled with exciting musical performances, films, workshops, parties, lectures, and a street fair with a variety of vendors.
The goal is to raise $10,000. Half of the funds will go to help artists with visa expenses, flights, and accommodation. About 40+ musicians will be flying from Brazil to NYC. The other half of the funds will go to festival production and staff.
