Inaugurated in October at the California Science Center, Amazon Adventure 3D will allow you to live the heart of the Amazon rainforest and follow the extraordinary journey of the naturalist and
explorer Henry Walter Bates – the most influential scientist you’ve ever heard of.
The film follows Bates, who provided “the beautiful proof” to Charles Darwin for his then-controversial theory of natural selection, the scientific explanation for the development of life on Earth, and risked his life for science during his 11-year expedition in the Amazon rainforest. Amazon Adventure 3D is a captivating detective story filled with dangers, perseverance, and ultimately, success, taking the audience into the
fascinating world of animal mimicry, the astonishing phenomenon where one animal adopts the appearance of another to gain a survival advantage.
Filmed on location in the lush Amazon region, Amazon Adventure 3D uses the immersive IMAX format to plunge the audience into a wild world of beauty and captivating animal behaviors. Things are not always what they seem in the jungle, and the audience will be mesmerized by a series of nature’s masters of mimicry.
