ArtBrazil is an annual multimedia contemporary art fair that promotes and showcases the work of visual artists to the American and international public. This year’s opening night will be on Thursday, September 14.
The idea behind this 30-day exhibition and artistic gathering is not only to exchange experiences and brainstorm among artists from different parts of the country and abroad but also to discuss the Brazilian and Latin diaspora.
The ArtBrazil Project has progressively increased the number of participants and visitors over the years. During the opening night in 2016 at Artserve, they welcomed over 1,200 people, and during the month, more than 3,500 people visited the venue.
ArtBrazil is a platform for artists interested in gaining visibility in the American market. In addition to sales and good media visibility, the exhibition highlights the work of celebrated artists, showcasing installation works, photography, paintings, sculptures, and other forms of art integrated into a modern and contemporary context.
Important components of the ArtBrazil Project include the Art Talk Symposiums, Social Change supporting causes that need a voice and fundraising, as well as educational field trips that bring together over 600 children from Dade and Broward counties to meet the artists.
The exhibition is curated by Jade Matarazzo, who is also a photographer and visual artist.
