TripAdvisor announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice Awards for Beaches. This year, Baía do Sancho in Brazil was ranked by TripAdvisor reviewers as the global winner.
The site honored 343 beaches, including the 25 best in the world and local lists for Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, South America, the South Pacific, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
The award winners were determined based on the quantity and quality of traveler reviews and ratings for beaches on TripAdvisor, collected over a 12-month period.
“To inspire those planning a beach getaway, we highlight the best beaches in the world from millions of reviews from our travelers,” said Barbara Messing, Chief Marketing Officer of TripAdvisor.
“Winning a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Beaches award is very important for Baía do Sancho and for Fernando de Noronha, where the beach is located. The recognition of the award is an opportunity for us to communicate everything this amazing place has to offer to global travelers,” said Luís Eduardo Antunes, General Manager of Fernando de Noronha.
The archipelago of Fernando de Noronha is located about 350 kilometers off the northeastern coast of Brazil, in the state of Pernambuco.
