Garibaldi

Everything is enchanting in the Capital of Brazilian Sparkling Wine. It is recognized as the Brazilian Capital of Sparkling Wine due to the pioneering spirit and quality of its wines and sparkling wines. The city, with its special charm, retains the characteristics of a tranquil environment, with a bucolic landscape that gives it a particularly distinct air from our time. Garibaldi is also part of the Vale dos Vinhedos, a region of recognized importance in Brazil for viticulture.

In addition to the magic surrounding the wine-making process, visitors have the opportunity to learn about the habits, religion, and gastronomy, and to be involved in the artistic expressions that make up the cultural heritage of the region. Among the events the city offers, the highlight is the Fenachamp – Brazilian Sparkling Wine Festival – which celebrates the symbol product of the municipality, and the tourist routes such as the Architecture of the Gaze, the Aeternun Religious Route, the Road of Flavor, the Sparkling Wine Route, and the Shopping Route. The Barragem Walkway, the Maria Fumaça, and the Municipal Museum are other attractions of the municipality.

Balneário Camboriú

Balneário Camboriú is one of the trendiest tourist destinations in southern Brazil. Located in Santa Catarina, it is one of the most frequented beach resorts and has a vibrant nightlife with nine beautiful beaches, offering options for surfing, ecotourism, and adventure tourism. During the high season, the city can receive five times more visitors than its total population. At night, the clubs and bars on Avenida Atlântica and Barra Sul come alive, especially in the nightclubs, where electronic music predominates.

Praia Central has almost 7 km of calm waters. Along the boardwalk, there are craft fairs and kiosks with snacks and coconut water to cool off from the heat. Avenida Atlântica offers bars, shops, and restaurants with tables spread across the sidewalks. Hop on one of the boats or schooners that sail along the coast and head to Ilha das Cabras. The trip features shows presented by the crew, who dress as pirates and entertain the travelers. Nearby is Praia do Canto, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city while bathing in its extremely calm waters or sunbathing on the small stretch of sand. Located 6 km from the city center, Praia das Laranjeiras is in a small bay and has very calm waters, perfect for swimming and water sports. There, you will find a small pier for sightseeing boats, as well as bars and restaurants.

Well-known for its rocks and shells, the beach shows evidence of the indigenous populations that inhabited the Santa Catarina coast. Praia do Pinho, Brazil’s first official naturist beach and the fifth in the world, is 9 km from the center and has camping areas, an inn, a bar, and a restaurant. There, the conduct rules are quite strict. If your wave is in the sky, head to Morro do Careca, as it is the ideal spot for hang gliding and paragliding. In addition to the ramps for free flight, there are also perfect cliffs for climbing and rappelling.

Canela

Canela is another of the incredible cities in Serra Gaúcha worth visiting. Among the ecotourism options, visit the Caracol State Park, one of the most well-known landscapes in Rio Grande do Sul. It features a beautiful waterfall 131m high, as well as viewpoints, restaurants, shops, and leisure areas.

In the park, you can also ride the train from Estação Sonho Vivo, take the cable car that leads to a viewpoint overlooking the waterfall and the valley, and engage in extreme sports such as trekking, mountain biking, canyoning, and zip-lining. 6 km from Caracol is Ferradura Park, ideal for those seeking a connection with nature, as it offers various trail options. In addition to this, the Laje de Pedra, Sequoias, Sesi, Corredeiras parks, and the National Forest of the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) are just a few of the many options for nature contact in the beautiful natural setting of Canela.

In the city, don’t miss attractions like Mundo a Vapor, which impresses with its train car positioned almost vertically on the facade. Also visit the Artisan House, where you can purchase beautiful handmade works, and the Stone Cathedral, an impressive Gothic-style church. Nearby is the famous Alpen Park, an amusement park where you can zip-line and ride a toboggan, as well as rappel, do tree climbing, and other activities.

Morretes

Just 70 km from Curitiba, located by the banks of the Cubatão River and at the foot of the Serra do Mar Paranaense, Morretes is a charming city with a rich history and well-preserved nature. To start your journey and enjoy the postcard-worthy landscapes, one option is to take the train and travel along the century-old Morretes-Curitiba Railway, which crosses the entire mountainous region. You can appreciate the beauty of the mountains and have a privileged view of the Garganta do Diabo canyon and the Véu da Noiva waterfall. The nature in Morretes enchants its visitors and offers various attractions for ecotourism and adventure tourism. The Pico do Marumbi State Park, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, features an incredible landscape of Atlantic Forest, several trails, waterfalls, and is the ideal spot for mountaineering as it offers various degrees of difficulty and climbing modalities. Another must-see attraction in the region is to experience the typical cuisine, such as the famous barreado, a dish of meat cooked in a clay pot for almost 20 hours.
