Another wave on TikTok and other social media is drawing attention in the United States. This time, the controversy involves Black men and women in a movement called #PassportBros. What is this movement?A growing group of thousands of Black men is trying to convince other men that Black women from other countries are “better traditional wives” than American Black women. Just follow the hashtag #PassportBros and you will see Black men of all ages describing their experiences with the opposite sex from other nationalities compared to women in the United States.Supporters of the movement describe it as follows: “Black people have suffered so many forms of prejudice in the United States that we seek other countries to feel like human beings. The #PassportBros movement can be seen as an attachment to the same concept of inner peace and happiness. A group of Black men who do not feel needed and admired by Black women in search of love abroad. They travel to different destinations around the world and find happiness with a partner of the opposite sex,” explains one of the movement’s supporters. The controversyBlack women and other American women are not at all pleased with this movement. They are also accessing their TikTok accounts to vehemently speak out against #PassportBros. They argue that the members of #PassportBros are Black men who are “weak” and do not know how to court strong Black women. Some women believe that the true intention of #PassportBros is merely to have sex with foreign women, not to seek love. Other women have gone so far as to say that these men are “imitating their ‘white masters’, who are notoriously known for ‘colonizing’ and going to third world countries to find submissive wives.” Other women claim that “they get foreign women due to the exchange rate, as foreign women only want these men for the little money they give them.” The anti-PassportBros have called these men “scum,” “predators,” and in some cases, “pedophiles.”Even more interesting is the opinion of women from other countries about the movement. Many are going to their TikToks to support #PassportBros, stating that some women in the Western world do not know how to ‘treat their men.’ Some say that American women lack femininity, and when these men arrive in other countries, they are treated as men “should” be treated. Meanwhile, the movement continues to grow. One of its groups on Facebook has over 10,000 followers. Men of all ethnicities and tax brackets are accessing social media and expressing their personal experiences to the rest of the world.Brazilian Police Issues WarningThe Brazilian Police issued a warning about the risks of tourism and/or sexual trafficking after one of the movement’s members, Austen Holleman, made a video talking about Brazilian women. He called Brazilian women “easy” and highlighted how “there are no sexually frustrated men” in the country. He even encourages men to abandon American women and go to Brazil.Source: https://Yahoo.com and https://hypebae.com
