10th CNMA Establishes Itself as the Largest Global Congress Dedicated to Women in Agribusiness

The National Congress of Women in Agribusiness (CNMA), held on October 22 and 23 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo (SP), concluded its 10th edition reaching the milestone of 3,000 attendees from all Brazilian states, including the Federal District, plus a delegation of 20 women from Paraguay. The number positions the commemorative edition of the CNMA as the largest global congress dedicated to women in agribusiness, reinforcing its commitment to driving strategic debates, strengthening networking networks, and showcasing innovations that shape the future of the agribusiness sector.

This year, featuring the theme “CNMA 10 + 10 | 2025-2035: Mulheres que mudam o mundo para melhor”, the edition had the participation of 55 sponsoring companies, including 31 exhibitors. According to the event organizers, the result crowns a decade of continuous growth and expanding female presence in sector decision-making.

“We concluded this edition with a sense of duty fulfilled and the joy of seeing the CNMA reach a new level. I firmly believe in the purpose of this congress and the impact it generates. The level of the lectures was excellent, the thematic tracks helped better organize the content, and the audience clearly understood what to expect in each space,” highlighted Renata Camargo, Development and New Business Manager at Transamerica Expo Center and organizer of the CNMA since the first edition.

Women in Agribusiness Headed to COP30

One of the most memorable moments of the second day was the panel “Mulheres do Agro rumo à COP30”, which brought together experts, leaders, and researchers to discuss the role of Brazilian agribusiness in climate mitigation and adaptation strategies. The debate covered challenges and opportunities related to emission reductions, efficient use of natural resources, energy transition, and recognition of the sustainable practices already adopted by Brazil’s tropical agribusiness.

The participants emphasized that female presence is essential in climate decisions, particularly due to women’s integrative perspective on issues linking food production, environmental conservation, and social development. The panel featured messages of commitment to agribusiness leadership in the global discussions to take place during COP30 in Belém (PA) in 2025.

8th Prêmio Mulheres do Agro

The event was also the stage for the 8th edition of the Prêmio Mulheres do Agro, an initiative by Bayer in partnership with the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (Abag), which recognized ten rural producers from different regions of the country, representing diverse management profiles and business models.

The winners hailed from Minas Gerais, Pará, Ceará, São Paulo, Bahia, and Paraná, underscoring the diversity and strength of women across all production scales—from small to large farms. The award highlighted stories of leadership, innovation, and purpose, reaffirming women’s essential role in the sustainable transformation of Brazilian agribusiness.
