The Federal Police (PF) launched, this Wednesday (8), in a joint action with the civil police of 16 states, the National Operation Integral Protection III. The objective is to identify suspects involved in crimes of sexual abuse of children and adolescents committed, mainly, over the internet.

In a statement, the police reported the simultaneous execution of 182 search and seizure warrants and 11 preventive arrest warrants across the country. As of the last update, there had been 19 arrests, two minors apprehended, and one victim rescued.

617 federal police officers and 273 civil police officers from the following states are participating in the action: Alagoas, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espirito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and São Paulo, in addition to the Federal District.

Integration

“The operation reinforces the integration between federal and state police forces and demonstrates the joint commitment to protecting children and adolescents. Operation Comprehensive Protection III builds on previous operations launched in March and May 2025, highlighting the Federal Police’s ongoing work on this front,” the Federal Police reported.

Data from the corporation indicates that, between January and September of this year, more than 1,630 arrest warrants were served on fugitives convicted of sexual crimes.

“The Federal Police warns parents and guardians about the importance of monitoring and guiding children and adolescents’ internet use, discussing risks openly and teaching them how to react to inappropriate contact in virtual environments. Prevention and information are the most effective tools for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and adolescents,” the Federal Police concluded.
